Mary Corbett 
Vice President Human Resources

Ms. Corbett joined Pacific Biosciences as Vice President of Human Resources in 2008 with more than 30 years of HR experience in organizations ranging from Fortune 100 companies to start-ups, and as an independent consultant.  Previously, she was Vice President of Global Human Resources for Synarc, Inc.- a leading pharmaceutical services corporation providing support for clinical drug trials.  From 2003-2006 she served as Senior Vice President, Human Resources & Facilities and Corporate Compliance Officer for Broadlane, Inc., a heathcare suppy-chain company.  Prior to Broadline she served in senior human resources positions for several other Bay Area companies, including MyCFO, MarketMile and Apple Computer.  From 1993-1999 she ran a Paris-based consultancy working on behalf of a number of European companies including LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton in Paris and PricewaterhouseCoopers in London.  Ms. Corbett began her career in human resources in New York City working in the financial and insurance industries.  She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in History from Fordham University and Columbia University, respectively.
